Regaleali-Tasca d'Almerita is one of the most important
wine-producing estates in Sicily. Most of the food that appears
on its tables is produced on the farm: poultry, lamb, sheep's
milk cheese, wheat, olive oil, vegetables and fruit. Its fine
wines accompany all meals.
Courses are held in the fall - late September, October an early
November - and in the spring - March, April and May. Dates and
programs may vary slightly. A maximum of 12 students can be
accommodated. They will be guests in the homes of Anna and
Costanza and others on the estate. For a minimum of 6 students,
additional courses can be arranged with sufficient notice.
Regaleali is located in the "Heart of Sicily", about
one-and-a-half hours' drive from Palermo. We suggest that you
take the train to Vallelunga, our nearest town. You will be met
at the station. There is a bus that goes from the airport to the
railroad station in downtown Palermo. Let us know at what time
your train arrives at Vallelunga. If you hire a car, before
adventuring on winding Sicilian roads, you should contact the
office at Regaleali to get directions.
